“Missing Middle Housing” construction has largely been missing from the new housing supply over last 80 or so years, yet it’s highly desired by a large segment of our population. Zoning reform and increased development of such housing is one of the ingredients to solving our housing shortage and affordability issues.
Daniil Kleyman, owner of Evolve Development, will go over his background, his development philosophy, and share multiple examples of projects and case studies his company is developing to fill the gap that exists between housing demand and supply.

About our Speaker:
In 2008, a young man worked as a bond deal analyst at one of the top 5 investment banks on Wall St in NY. He was aggressively mediocre at his job and insanely good at daydreaming about doing real estate deals and telling all his bosses to go pound sand. His dream came true when in August 2008 he was laid off and shown the door. Jobless, and largely without savings, he did the only thing that made sense at the time. Apply for another job? Neh. He moved back home in with his parents. Despite the comforts of mom's home cooking and free laundry service, this young man knew he was destined for something bigger and greater. So, he launched his real estate career, a house at a time and launched his software company around the same time frame. Since then, he has developed over $110 million in real estate projects in the Richmond region. His projects often been cited in Richmond Bizsense. Daniil serves on the HBAR Multifamily Housing Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees for Richmond Montessori School.
